Born and raised in Winnetka, Illinois to Princeton and Harvard grads, it was expected that Charlotte Ross would follow in her parent's footsteps and continue in the field of education. However, falling in love with acting and singing in the tender years of her childhood, Charlotte had other plans in mind and decided at an early age she would follow the "Hollywood" route instead. From that moment on, Charlotte studied with anyone and everyone she possibly could to polish and sharpen her craft especially adored, Roy London. She worked at Second City and the Goodman Theater in Chicago and earned a early living with numerous commercial and modeling gigs. After a wonderful four years on the infamous Soap, she went on to pursue other roles.

By opting to have a link to the original series versus a straight-out reboot with an all-new group of cops, the new NYPD Blue creates opportunities for characters from the Emmy-winning drama to pop in. Indeed, while there are no deals in place, I hear that the intention is for original cast members to appear on the followup series.

The head that poked out was large, short on hair and adorned with a beefy smile not often seen on the television screen. Today, still in the top 50, it has become the televised equivalent of an aging beat cop, eyes wrinkled against the sun. This makes it difficult to remember just how fresh its face once was.
